Domain Push Tutorial
To help you understand how a domain push works, we have designed this
tutorial for you.
What is Domain Push?
Basically a Domain Push is when a domain stays within the same registrar.
Part I. How A Domain Push Works
First the domain is registered with a registrar such as
GoDaddy.com
Then the seller puts the domain up for bid on ebay or a domain market.
The domain is purchased by a buyer.
The buyer of the domain, then opens an account at
GoDaddy.com
Domain registration information is sent to the seller after the sale by the
buyer including, Name, Address, City, Zip, Phone, and contact email. This
information will be used by the seller t to set up the
contact records.
The seller then enters the collected information into the registration form
at
GoDaddy.com (essential to registering the domain for the buyer.)
An email is then auto generated by
GoDaddy.com that goes to the buyer.
The email has the following information in the screenshot below.

The buyer then follows the instruction in the email to complete the process
of pushing the domain from the seller to the buyer's account.
Part II. Tutorial on How To Accept The Push
When you purchase a domain name, you should receive contact from the seller
requesting your registration information.
Note: NEVER give your login information including your username out to anyone,
even the seller!
You will also receive the above email.
Here are the steps that you will follow in the email:
Step 1. Log into your
GoDaddy.com
account and find the link that says, "Accept an
Account Change."

Step 2. Copy and paste the data from the email into the corresponding box.

Step. 3. You will get a sale page but just ignore it and click continue. You
will then be at a page asking for payment.
Notice that the amount is $0.
You will need to continue with the page by clicking the CheckOut Now Button
even though the transaction is a 0 dollar amount.

Only by completing step 3 above can you be sure that you have indeed
registered your new domain.
Step 4. Verify that the purchased domain is in your account. Go to My Account
> Manage Domains

Step 5. Find the domain in your list.
Note: If you don't find it, wait a couple of minutes and return to this
screen. You will also receive an email from
GoDaddy.com confirming the transfer, as
well.

That's it! The domain is yours!
